In addition to altering your life plan, a pregnancy between 15 and 19 years of age is classified as high risk, for the complications that entails in the health of the mother and the baby. Being faced with an unwanted pregnancy and the possibility of starting a family, there are several precautions to take tohave enough communication with your family in order to make the right decision among the different alternatives; nevertheless, each of them entails other consequences that we must analyze with sufficient information and thoroughness.
During adolescence, it is difficult to take responsibility for the upbringing of children, and while the child is in formation and growth, energy for self-growth is needed as well. It is common that teeange mothers and fathers to transform their lives and those of their families. Many times, they have to drop out of school or find it difficult ot get a job. For this reason, it is good to talk with your family about these issues. Although it may be complicated, it is always a good time to start. If you can not have this conversation with yourfamily, talk to an adult whom you trust.
Regarding motherhood or fatherhood, one must consider the responsibilities shared between men and women both for conception, as well as in pregnancy and care of the baby. They are circumstances originated by two togther and must be confronted by both parts.
Feelings that accompany an unwanted pregnancy
It is possible to feel ambivalent when faced with an unwanted pregnancy since motherhood is so valued; many women experience it as an unforeseen burden and as an affirmation of femininity at the same time. How you feel once this happens, however, will depend on a series of factors, both external and internal, that will determine this once you are faced with this lifechanging moment.
